Jun 2015
- In previous years I have used IKans & Gloss. Prior to 2014
- I used a class/group tracking sheet of the school's expectations/learning outcomes to keep anecdotal ticks of for walts achieved and P for area's children had sometimes and didn't have at other times and needed more practice to secure the knowledge. Prior to 2013
- I have also tested children on their basic facts and given this as their homework. 2014 -2012. I was great with my older year ones and my year 2's but was not very good with my NEs. My colleague found that the kids we team taught as NE slipped back and had to be re-teach these anyways, so I didn't try it with the class i had this year.
- This and last year I used the Jam testing and the NZ maths sheets to inform my teaching.
- This year I did a combination of whole class teaching to introduce a key knowledge or strategy (e.g. counting backwards) for a week where the concept was taught and then games were learnt supporting that concept or maintenance of a previous but related concept, then did group teaching for a week, where the children were on rotation and i could focus more on individual/group needs. During this time, i gather anecdotal which informs me on my next lesson.
